  1. One of my favorite performances by Shelley Duval is in the mid-80s remake of the Twilight Zone series. “A Saucer of Loneliness”, based on Ted Sturgeon’s terrific short story, was included in the first show of the second broadcast season.

  2. If I’ve seen that one I don’t remember it. It’s on YT so I’ll have to give it a watch.

    Anne Billson rightly chose 3 Women for the no. 1 spot in her list. Probably the strangest thing Shelley Duvall appeared in, it’s like a David Lynch film before the world had much idea of what “a David Lynch film” might be. Robert Altman had an incredible run in the 1970s.
